The apartments of the eighteenth century return to enchant visitors to the Royal Palace of Caserta. Following the inauguration, which took place on Monday 16 September, of the exhibition “From Artemisia to Hackert. History of an antique collector at the Royal Palace “, organized by Lampronti Gallery, a large section of the rooms of the 18th century apartments will from today be accessible to the general public.
At the ordinary cost of the admission ticket, it will therefore be possible to admire the works of some of the most representative artists of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, as well as the Port of Salerno by Jakob Philipp Hackert, which completes the series of Views of the Ports of the Kingdom created for the King Ferdinand IV of Bourbon.
The rooms of Hackert’s collection and part of those in the Pinacoteca have also been reopened. The Royal Palace of Caserta has also agreed to restore the opening hours of the Court Theater. The jewel of the Vanvitellian monument can be visited, from Friday to Sunday, by the volunteers of the Touring Club.
